The Tech Inclusion Conference is a tech conference that covers the entire tech industry with a focus on inclusive innovation along with diversity and inclusion in tech. Conference tracks will be curated in policy, education (K-12, STEM, Code schools), workplace and entrepreneurship categories.

For the 2016 Tech Inclusion Conference we’re planning to continue to discuss solutions for entrepreneurs on how to raise capital from investors, how accelerators are supporting startups and lesson learned as female founders. Along with two days of startup pitching during the startup showcase.

We’re also adding more content for investors or conference attendees who are interested in becoming an investor or becoming a venture capitalist. We’re excited to share Parker Thompson will lead a workshop on “How to Become A VC” at the 2016 Tech Inclusion Conference.

The workshop is open to all conference attendees and for interested attendees who would like to learn more about how to invest in startups, how to use AngelList syndicates and more. Parker will also share his pathway to become an investor.

Parker Thompson

Parker is a Partner at AngelList, where he works on building the financing marketplace. Prior to joining AngelList, Parker was a Partner at 500 Startups, an early stage venture fund, led background in sales and business development at Pivotal Labs (acquired by EMC), and held senior engineering positions at a number of companies.

We’re excited to have Parker return as a speaker for the 2016 Tech Inclusion Conference. At the 2015 Tech Inclusion Conference, Parker participated on the “What Can You Do as an Ally?” panel. Also if you didn’t know, Parker was the mastermind behind the famed “@StartupLJackson Twitter account.

How To Become A VC Workshop
Wednesday, October 26th at 10:00am in the Theater during the Tech Inclusion Conference.

The Theme for Tech Inclusion 2016 Conference is Inclusive and Sustainable Innovation and will be held October 26th — 27th at the Innovation Hangar in San Francisco. Tech Inclusion Conference is presented by Google for Entrepreneurs. The conference will feature a career fair, a startup showcase and an tech innovation demo hall. Regular admission tickets are on sale now.
